A Few Good Mothers

I have decided to invite to contribute to this blog some mothers that had (and still) help me with parenting issues in my day to day...some of them I find them fun, some I find strong, some of them are naturally wise and others are just so motivated!

The idea is to make this space as practical and usefull as possible.
I am sure you will find their advices as helpfull as I do.

Happy International Women's day 2014!

There was a time when mothers will share their parenting experiences with other women around.
In the family, at work, in social gatherings...
Families where more extense and in many case they shared the same house. Grandmothers, aunts, sisters and neighbours where there to support eachother with parenting issues and that was the natural way of doing it.
Sadly, being a mother today can be one of the most lonely experiences a woman can have in life.
Big cities are not made for natural mothering, families are getting smaller in size and relatives live far from eachother. Being a mum has lately becomed (and it is still now) the less good option for a woman. Choosing motherhood is today a social, profesional, physical, psychological, economic sacrifice.
This is why I want to share my experience with you. To show that it might still be possible. To show you that you are not alone...Hopefully the web can help us today to restablish that natural mothering style that used to be so helpfull for our great grand mothers many years ago.

Natural mothering = Naturally mothers

I am a mother of three:

Five, three and nine months old. One boy, two girls. They are adorable. They are beautiful. They ARE day and night...

I am thirty two years old and I used to have a cool job. But that seems very long time ago now...it feels so long now that when the time comes and I am very aware, that it WILL come I am not sure if I will want to leave...

Because I have learnt so much during this last period of my life...I have learnt in the last five years probably more than in the previous fifteen...and I am still learning...and what is even more incredible: I am starting to enjoy it!

Lately I have been feeling the need for sharing my mothering experiences...who knows! maybe some people might find them useful!

I trully believe there is not any good manual about natural mothering. There is only us: NATURALLY MOTHERS.

Love.
